In collaboration with Afropop Worldwide, Link TV produced a 42-minute music documentary  Festival In The Desert; the Tent Sessions about the 2003 festival held in Essakane, Mali, near Timbuktu. Sean Barlow and Banning Eyre of Afropop brought back some truly wonderful footage of exclusive daytime tent performances, magical night-time mainstage events, and a fascinating interview with Robert Plant. The film features performances by some well-known artists, including Plant, Ali Farka Toure,  and Tartit, and introduces American viewers to Haira Arby, Bocar Madjo, Baba Djire and Lobi Traore all brilliant Malian artists who deserve a broader audience beyond their homeland.
