Directed by Hany Abu-Assad (Academy Award®-nominated Paradise Now) Palestine, 90 minutes

Director Hany Abu-Assad depicts the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through the heart-wrenching experience of a young Palestinian woman, Rana, who wakes up one morning to an ultimatum: she must select a husband from a list of eligible men dictated by her father, or she must leave the country with him that very day.

Rana has ten hours to locate her militant boyfriend who is hiding in Jerusalem, and marry him. Opting to take control of her own life, she risks roadblocks, soldiers, and stone-throwers to find and marry her beloved Khalil.

As we watch Rana’s struggle over the course of 10 hours, we are invited to reflect on her day-to-day reality as she upholds her spirit and dignity with grace, humor and sheer will.
