This time Earth Focus features profiles of Goldman Environmental Prize winners and an interview with author and thinker Lester Brown, author of the new book "Plan B." 

Established in 1990, The Goldman Environmental Prize honors grassroots environmentalists from around the world who have made sustained and important efforts to preserve the natural environment. 

In an Earth Focus interview about his new book "Plan B: Rescuing a Planet Under Stress and a Civilization in Trouble," author Lester Brown urges a worldwide shift of priorities towards environmental security.

Other segments include:

Bright Idea, which highlights a new invention called the Watercone that creates fresh, drinkable water. The Watercone can generate 6 to 7 glasses of drinkable water a day using only the power of the sun.  The invention offers a new solution to challenge of providing fresh water to the 1 billion people worldwide who lack it.  Worldwide, three million people die each year from diseases caused by unsafe water.
