Video Premiere
Artist: Les Charbonniers De L'Enfer Song: "Au Diable les Avocats" Country: Canada
Here's a song that reminds us just how much music we can make without picking up or plugging in an instrument. Les Charbonniers De L'Enfer (The little coal miners from Hell) are five superb singers (two of whom have tenured with the famed "La Bouttine Souriante") from Canada who have unearthed gems of Quebecois folk music and given them inspired a capella interpretations. They have been burning up the festival circuit north of the border and gaining loyal fans for the past ten years. "Au Diable les Avocats" (the devil take lawyers) is from their latest CD "Wo" and is a wry song about being married off to a rich man and fated to a loveless bed.truly a match made in Hell!
Premiere: Monday, 8/9 at 7:55 PM ET (4:55 PM PT)
Repeat times are:
Tuesday, 8/10 at 1:55 AM ET (10:55 PM PT) Tuesday, 8/10 at 7:55 AM ET (4:55 AM PT) Tuesday, 8/10 at 1:55 PM ET (10:55 AM PT)

Best Viewer Comments Of The Week
(Keep them coming. Next week it could be yours!)
"The film (Healing the
Hurt) was very inspiring. I have been wanting to get close to my Native American
heritage, but I was finding that difficult. After watching that film I decided
to help heal my wounds and by that I also called upon my great Uncle and my
ancestors to help me with forgiveness. During that time they gave me my name,
Moonlight, and that makes me feel so content. I love to watch your programs on
Native Americans and I hope, God willing, you will continue to broadcast them."
