Outsourcing Report: Exporting America's Future - The Trouble With Outsourcing
More Information and Broadcast Times
Economists, politicians and corporate consultants keep assuring us that the current trend towards outsourcing American jobs abroad is ultimately good for everyone and for the global economy. Butwhat if you are the one that has lost your job to cheaper labor in another country? The second episode of The Outsourcing Report: Exporting America's Future presents critical views on the global job shift. Hosted by political satirist and PBS host Will Durst, the series tells personal stories of workers whose manufacturing and high tech jobs have been outsourced.

The Letter: An American Town and the Somali Invasion
More Information and Broadcast Times
A firestorm of controversy erupts when Lewiston, Maine Mayor Larry Raymond sends an open letter to 1100 newly-arrived Somali refugees letting them know that they are not welcome. The letter states that the city's resources are strained to the limit and asks them to tell other Somalis not to move to the city. The letter has been interpreted as racism by some and a rallying cry by white supremacist groups across the US.

In Focus: The Death of a Populist
More Information and Broadcast Times
A look at the circumstances surrounding the death of Pim Fortuyn, the controversial Dutch politician who was gunned down just nine days before the national elections in May 2002. Although controversial and apolitical outsider, he was expected to win enough seats to take over leadership of the country.

Special Program: Chomsky on the Media
More Information and Broadcast Times
For more than 40 years, Noam Chomsky has been America's conscience. Long before the Iraq war he was warning us that the media wasworking for the powerful elites to convince the public to go along with their agenda. The special 4 hour coverage begins with the landmark film, Manufacturing Consent, and includes commentary from some of the most fearless journalists in this country Amy Goodman, Greg Palast, Christopher Hedges, and Paul Krugman - who reveal the forces at work behind the daily news.

Special Program: War of Deception
More Information and Broadcast Times
Link TV examines the War of Deception -the hazy pretext that led the United States toinvade Iraqand the media's failure to ferret out the truth. Why did the mainstream media do such a bad job in the run-up to the Iraq War?Was the media complicit, cowardly or merely lazy? Are we really in Iraq for the oil? Journalist Amy Goodman, one of the Bush Administration and Iraq war's fiercest critics joins host Mark Hertsgaard in the studio to discuss the failures, and perhaps the triumphs, of the media coverage of the Iraq War.

Video of the Week

Artist: Reggaeton Nios
Song: "Oye mi Canto"
Country: U.S.

If this song sounds familiar, it may be because it was big hit for the Reggaeton group N.O.R.E. featuring Daddy Yankee, Nina Sky, Gem Star and Big Mato. The adult factor (both physically and lyrically) has been replaced with a decidedly more innocent vibe.

Remember that you can own much of the music featured on our music blocks by visiting our online music store. We have either CDs or 99 cent song downloads available for many of the artists on our 59 playlists. Check them out

My name's John and I'm a Republican from Wyoming who literally hangs out with cool people like Dick Cheney and Al Simpson. I was proud to donate $500 to Link TV tonight because it is critical to the success of our nation and the world that programming, like that which Link TV exclusively offers, be viewed and thought about by as many informed and independent thinkers as possible!...Thanks to Link TV, we Americans are linked to the world around us with unique, personal and informed perspectives!...'

...The Witness...thank you for airing this incredible program. Most mainstream press treat animal issues as fluff pieces - but I think that many viewers will be completely shaken by The Witness, as I was.It is so clear that animals suffer in silence to serve us as food, clothing, and entertainment - and most of us take that for granted. This documentary changed the way I think...It was the first time I watched Link TV, but you have made me a regular viewer!
