El Tanbura is a multigenerational Egyptian band tied together by love of an ancient instrument, the harp-like sumsimiyya. This is what gives the group its delicate plucked-string ambiance. The video is a wildly whimsical voyage, and the song, "Shoft Toshy" (Didn't you see my love?) is from El Tanbura's not yet released CD "Between the Desert and the Sea." What a scoop!
