Video Premiere

Artist:Caf Tacuba
Song: " Eres"
Country:Mexico
Official Caf Tacuba website (in Spanish)

Caf Tacuba have been called the Beatles of Mexicoand not just because of their popularity. With each new CD the band has re-invented itself; their dedication to integrity in art has occasionally put them on the wrong side of the music business, but they have always emerged with a bigger and more loyal fan base. "Eres" ("You are") finds the band in a tender moment. It's an earnest love song:

"Without you I am dead. You are the time that I share my salvation, my hope and my faith."

The lyric is well served by the video's schoolroom setting; isn't young love the most idealistic?

To purchase the music of Caf Tacuba, visit the Link TV Music Store.

Premiere: Monday, 8/30 at 7:55 PM ET (4:55 PM PT)

Best Viewer Comments Of The Week

(Keep them coming. Next week it could be yours!)

"One Night the Moon was one of the first programs I viewed on Link. Since I've discovered your station I find myself glued to the TV like an illiterate student desperate to learn, to understand. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to hear our far off neighbor." Sent: 8/22/2004

"I would like to thank you for your wonderful channel and I have been supporting you for a while now as a sustaining member... Link TV makes my values within my being shine forth; values like my integrity, respect, love, truth, understanding and compassion. I look very much forward to real news on your new "Democracy now" in the morning; it truly gives me a wonderful start for the day. Transformation happens in a society when truth and equality is shared individually and in a community, I wish all Americans were exposed to Link TV. Thank you!" Sent: Friday, August 20

"We found Link TV by accident, channel surfing, on three different occasions. The first time we encountered a block of music videos from the world, and the children began dancing to the world-beat rhythms and we were all mesmerized by the vocals and images. We brought out the globe and we found the countries where the music had originated and spoke of other things we knew about those places. The next time we stumbled upon the Patch Adams documentary in Kabul, and we all cried together to see a clown remove charred skin from a tiny child and wrap her so that the new skin could grow. Again, the globe came to the table and we studied as a family. The third time (and then we were hooked) my husband and I enjoyed the Jack DeJohnette concert late one night, and each time I spoke of how I felt about the music, Jack said the exact same thing between the songs- I ran to the computer and purchased the concert right away so I can hear it whenever I like, and I'm still amazed."
