FAQs: Military Manpower & The Draft

This week, Link TV introduces FAQs, a series of three national live call-in programs that explore the crisis in military manpower and the possibility of a post-election draft. We are asking viewers to join a forum for discussing frequently asked questions on critical military issues. Each program addresses an aspect of the problem: military readiness, stresses on military families and the politics of reinstating the draft. The programs will be simulcast on Pacifica Radio Network.

Send Us Your Questions!
Be a part of this interactive new series: send us your questions about the military, personnel and political aspects of the Draft. Send your questions to [email protected] and please include your daytime phone number - we may want to call you with followup questions.

WE'LL BE ADDING MORE ELECTION PROGRAMMING NEXT WEEK. CHECK WWW.LINKTV.ORGREGULARLY.

Program Highlights

Spotlight: Forbidden Films About John Kerry
More Information and Broadcast Times
The first of a series of special Spotlight presentations that show and analyze important political documentaries that you should see before you vote. Link TV brings you analysis of films that most American TV channels have chosen not to broadcast. We launch the series with twofilms that presentdifferent views of John Kerry'sVietnam record: Stolen Honor, the film currently embroiled in the Sinclair Broadcasting controversy, and Going Upriver.

Spotlight: Forbidden Films About George Bush
More Information and Broadcast Times
We continue the Forbidden Films series with two films that presentcontrasting views of George W. Bush and his policies: Faith in the White House, which shows howthe President'sChristian faith guides his life and decision-making, and There's Something About W, afact-filled mix of analysis and humor that takes a wry look at the policies of the Bush Administration.

Earth Focus: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
More Information and Broadcast Times
Journalist Mark Hertsgaard interviews Robert F. Kennedy Jr., senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council and author of the book "Crimes against Nature", about the Bush Administration record on environment issues.

Ground Truth
More Information and Broadcast Times
A moving film that looks at the long-term and often invisible effects the war in Iraq is having on thousands of nameless, undecorated Americans. Through intimate and candid interviews with returning soldiers, veterans, military families, and independent footage, this film asks us to bear witness to these soldiers and their families, and to consider the human cost of war.

"Hello, To say that I love your station and programs is an understatement. Link TV is one of the two stations I watch and in the last month or so yours is the ONLY station I have been watching. The programming and clarity of topics is unparalleled - from news, to investigative reports, to interviews, to movies, documentaries, rallies, music videos..... just ALL IF IT.... Sometimes you take the words right out of my heart - before it even reaches my mouth...Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.....programs. I just became a supporter, I actually called in on Friday night and contributed - sorry for waiting so long. I know I was way overdue and that IS THE LEAST WE ALL CAN DO.... I am constantly talking about Link TV to everyone. But you know?????? I find that almost NONE of the people I speak with even know about Link TV, since I don't know what stations it goes on in different areas, I always tell them to log on to your website. Keep up the Great work. We all need you more than many of us even realize....Thanks to your station and the issues you raise, I am going to be voting for the 1st time...It is going to be ESPECIALLY important this time around..." Sent: Monday, October 11
